How do Britelite double glazing windows work?

Britelite’s double- and triple-glazed windows incorporate a series of features unique to them, such as its eight-point locking system. The SAC multi-shoot bolt system is designed to withstand attacks by force or cunning, while the frame’s internal beading only allows the glass to be removed from the inside.

Up to 80% of the energy lost by windows is around the edge of the glass. Britelite has designed a new style of spacer bar they call the Swiss Spacer Bar to prevent the heat from escaping from these vulnerable areas.

Britelite’s triple glazing includes a five-chambered design to maximise energy efficiency and minimise acoustic leaking. This also adds to the security properties already offered by meeting the exacting standards of Secured by Design (SBD)—the official police security initiative dedicated to securing your home.

Britelite’s Gold Seal Guarantee is in addition to the 10-year installation guarantee and ensures that the installation service is stress-free, leaves no mess, and is carried out on the day you requested.

Britlite promises to advise you of the week your installation will take place. If this is not achieved, they will deduct £50 from the installation cost. Furthermore, if they cannot keep to the prearranged day, you will have another £25 deducted.

Britelite double glazing windows versus competitors

Britelite has made its reputation producing and installing affordable, high-quality windows for many years, and although only operating across the south-east, it is one of the biggest names in the industry. The company is, however, limited on frame materials, so if you are looking for a wider choice of frame materials and colours, you may be better off considering Safestyle. Anglian is another option offering variety in its window frame styles.

Regarding Britelite’s 10-year installation warranty inclusion, Everest provides a lifetime guarantee—although this comes as an optional cost addition.

How much do Britelite double glazing windows cost?

Britelite’s costs vary depending on the type of windows, sizes, furnishings, and so on, making it impossible to give an exact price guide. However, according to online price guides, this is what you can expect to pay for casement windows:

MaterialCost per casement window unit

uPVC

From £250 to £500

Aluminium

From £500 to £605

Our recommendation

Britelite produces high-quality double- and triple-glazed windows at affordable prices. Although the product range isn’t as extensive as some other window companies, the options it does supply perform well and look great, according to its many satisfied customers. This is independently verified by Britlite’s products being awarded the respected BSI Kitemark accreditation.

Incorporating innovative security systems, Britelite recognises the importance of secure window locks and frame design in creating a safe home. As a result, many of its products are SBD accredited.
