All Simonton windows are made of vinyl and come in the following varieties:

• Single-hung: Single-hung windows are a more traditional and simple style of windows. The window is opened by raising the lower panel, or window sash, with the upper sash remaining closed. 
• Double-hung: Double-hung windows can be opened by raising the lower sash or lowering the upper sash. They also tilt out, making it easier to clean. 
• Slider: Also known as sliding or gliding windows, this horizontal window type slides from the left or the right. 
• Casement: A type of crank-operated window, casement windows have a side hinge, allowing them to open similarly to a door. They tend to be more energy-efficient than hung, awning, or slider windows. 
• Awning: Built with the same functionality as an awning, these windows swing out by a hinge at the top of the frame. They are opened using either a crank system or a handle. 
• Bay: Bay windows create an outward 3D shape and usually contain a window seat or ledge. They usually form a square, rectangle, or octagon shape that externally juts out from a wall. 
• Bow: Bow windows have a more curved shape compared to bay windows. They form 10-degree angles with three to six window panels.

Simonton provides a variety of windows that meet the Energy Star requirements for efficiency. In fact, several models from its current product line ranked on the Energy Star Most Efficient list for 2022. Simonton also ranked on the 2021 list. Simonton manufactures its energy-efficient windows with special treatments, including low-emissivity (Low-E) glass, designed to keep your home cooler. Low-E glass employs different types of thin coatings to reduce ultraviolet and infrared lights from entering your home without preventing natural light from coming through the windows. The double-pane and triple-pane varieties include argon gas, which is colorless, odorless, safe, and provides additional insulation. 

Available only in the West Region Collections, the Madeira series windows are among Simonton’s most efficient selections. The series includes 27 window stylings that resemble the classic look of wood windows. The Madeira series uses standard double-strength ProSolar Low-E glass with argon gas to provide high energy efficiency. 

The Simonton Reflections 5500 Windows series is available exclusively in the East Regions Collection.
